HOME HEALTH QUESTIONS (CLINICAL)

What services can I receive with Home Health?

Home Health services are skilled nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, medical social work, and home health aide.

Do I have to pay a copay or out of pocket if I have Medicare?

No. Your Medicare benefit will cover 100% of your Home Health related costs.

What do I need to do if I want to receive Home Health services right now?

If you are not getting discharged from the hospital or nursing home, then you will need to have your doctor send an order for home care services. We can assist you with the process if need be.

Do I have to be bedbound to receive Home Health?

No. The patient does not need to be bedbound to be considered homebound. The patient is considered “homebound” under Medicare if the patient cannot leave home without “considerable and taxing effort”.

If I had a concern or an emergency related to my care, can I call anytime?

Yes. We are here for you 24 hours and 7 days of the week to address any concerns you have. We have dedicated staff to always answer your questions.

HOME CARE QUESTIONS (NON-CLINICAL)

Can my son or daughter provide care for me?

Yes, we can train and employ your family to provide care for you in your home.

Does my son or daughter need to be a citizen to be employed?

No, they can have a permanent resident or even have a work authorization to be employed by TAHARA HEALTH.

What insurance do you accept?

TAHARA HEALTH accepts all four (4) Managed Care Organizations (MCO). They are Keystone First CHC, AmeriHealth Caritas, UPMC, and PA Health & Wellness.

Does Medicare cover Home Care (Non-Clinical)?

Unfortunately, Medicare does not cover Home Care (Non-Clinical) services at this time.
