TAHARA HEALTH, with 2 respective Licenses, applied for CMS (Medicare) and OLTL (Medicaid) certification. The intense Medicare certification requires an agency to serve 10 eligible patients (pro-bono) within a short span of time with the highest standard of clinical care. TAHARA HEALTH was awarded the badge of Accreditation by CHAP, which is one of three national accreditation bodies of CMS within a record-breaking time of six months. The national average for any agency to accomplish this Accreditation is over two years. The strong referral sources and exceptional clinical staff made this dream a reality.

By June 1, 2021, TAHARA HEALTH officially opened its doors to the Home Health (Clinical) community by accepting referrals from the Jefferson hospital system and the local skilled nursing facilities (nursing homes) in the area.

The OLTL (Office of Long-Term Living) approved TAHARA HEALTH’s application in October 2021. This approved enabled us to request for credentialing to contract with Pennsylvania Medicaid’s 4 Managed Care Organizations (MCO). Given the amazing authority and track record of TAHARA HEALTH’s Home Health (Clinical) division, all 4 Managed Care Organizations (MCO) successfully executed contracts to credential with TAHARA HEALTH by February 2022.

Therefore, the Home Health (Clinical) division has been successfully serving Medicare patients since June 2021 and the Home Care (Non-Clinical) division has been serving Medicaid clients successfully since February 2022.

About Tahara Health

The Inception

During the inception of the COVID-19 outbreak in March 2020, the Board of Directors of TAHARA HEALTH had a vision to make sure that no one would ever have to choose between a nursing home and their own home when it comes to receiving the care you or your loved ones require. With this vision, the team initiated the rigorous process of being licensed and credentialed from the highest authority in the State of Pennsylvania.

In December 2020, TAHARA HEALTH received two (2) Licenses from the Pennsylvania Department of Health to serve both the Home Health (Clinical) and the Home Care (Non-Clinical) communities.
